In my experience, Ceanothus Blue pacific prefers partial shade. Right now, I have a happy four planted alongside my patio awning. The shrubs have quite a delicate and interesting texture in the garden, but it’s their blue flowers that are speckled with gold that appeal to me most. Flowering is worth the wait!
